Keep Your Eyes Peeled for Butterflies at the Daggerwing Nature Center

Daggerwing Nature Center is the perfect place for any time you’re in the mood to get back in touch with the delicate beauty of the natural world. Found inside of the scenic Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park in western Boca Raton, this outpost offers a phenomenal amount of amenities you don’t want to miss.

The Daggerwing Nature Center features an impressive 3,000-square-foot exhibit hall, which features a number of live animals and interactive exhibits. It is also home to classrooms, laboratories, and an art gallery. It’s also the place where you can stroll along an elevated boardwalk, or spend time with butterflies in a garden built specifically to attract them. The gem of the nature center, however, is the observation tower, where you can see the entirety of plant and wildlife from a new perspective. Birds, turtles, alligators and more all can be found from this angle. Keep an eye out for the Ruddy Daggerwing butterfly while you’re there, too! It is the namesake of the nature center, and a special species to this area.
